Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Baroev Radik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matheus Mores (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matheus Mores has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Baroev Radik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Matheus Mores!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mores looks to land a left hand but Radik moved out of range nicely.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Radik shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mores manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Radik pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mores is keeping the position for now.
Mores looking to control.
Radik is stalling in the full guard.
Mores is trying to control the position but Radik postures up.
Radik has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Matheus Mores hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Radik has a takedown stuffed.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Radik is nestled in close to Mores, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Mores is staying active underneath Radik, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Mores wants to control but Radik is keeping busy.
Radik winds up and cracks Mores with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Radik could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Radik is thwarting Mores's attempts to control the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mores is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Radik scores with a couple of nice shots.
Radik is trying to control the action in half guard but Mores is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Radik throws a strike but Mores avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Radik postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Radik wants to pass the guard but Mores is keeping the position.

Radik not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Radik wants to control from the top but Mores keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Radik looking to score a takedown here. Mores is defending well but Radik drives through and ends up in Mores's guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Radik is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Radik shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mores is trying to defend but Radik finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Radik shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mores as he jumps to the side.
Mores misses with a wild combination.
Mores throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Mores tries to sprawl but Radik drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Mores trying to hold on to Radik's head to control him but Radik postures up.

Radik is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Radik throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Mores tries to get to full guard but Radik has control of the leg.
Mores avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Radik.
Radik winds up and cracks Mores with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Radik is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Radik seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mores does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Radik throws a strike but Mores avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Radik throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mores works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Matheus Mores was stalling too much, according to the referee.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mores enables Radik to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mores manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Radik sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mores's guard.
Mores is breathing heavily.
Radik is trying to control the action in half guard but Mores is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Mores wants to improve his position but Radik is controlling well.

Radik is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Radik looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mores with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Radik keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mores's head.

Radik postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Mores utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mores keeping moving, preventing Radik from controlling successfully.
Radik connects with a couple of short punches.
Radik stands up over Mores, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Mores controls Radik momentarily but Radik frees himself.

Radik lands a couple of digs.
Radik throws an elbow that misses. Mores uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Radik's guard. Nice move by Mores!
Radik wants to sweep here but Mores controlling him for the moment.
Radik on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Radik tries to get out of the position.

Mores avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Radik pulls Mores in to control the position.

Radik manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Mores misses with a double jab.
Radik fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mores avoids it really well and circles away.
Mores swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A big right from Mores misses.
Radik shoots in for a takedown but Mores shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Baroev Radik. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mores throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Radik.
Radik takes one on the chin but seems OK.


It looks like Baroev Radik has been cut.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Radik, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
