Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buff Dickens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dickens kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is WELCOME TO MIAMI - WILL SMITH. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Buff Dickens! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
29 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Dean Stevens! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dickens takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Stevens throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Stevens throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Stevens moves out of range of the leg kick from Dickens. Stevens defending well as Dickens loads up on a big left hand. Dickens misses with a takedown attempt and Stevens counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Stevens tries a body shot but Dickens blocks it.
Stevens will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Dickens up against the cage. Stevens has Dickens pressed against the cage, preventing Dickens from circling away and getting back to striking at range. A head punch blocked on the inside by Stevens. Stevens breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dickens lands a head kick. Stevens smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Dean Stevens has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dickens tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stevens sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dickens somewhat. Both fighters circling a little - Stevens finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Stevens scores with a punch to the head. Stevens throws a head kick but Dickens moves out of range.
Dickens drives through with a takedown into Stevens's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Dickens tries to free his leg and advance position but Stevens is retaining full guard. Stevens controls Dickens momentarily but Dickens frees himself. Dickens preventing the sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dickens content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Dickens pushing down on Stevens's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Dickens thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Stevens wants to get back to full guard. Dickens is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Stevens reverses the position - he's now on top in Dickens's guard. Stevens postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Stevens throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Stevens landing with the ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dickens isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Stevens stacks Dickens on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Stevens! Dickens tries to get back to half guard but can't. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Stevens tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Dickens tries to improve position but can't.

The referee takes a look at Dickens to see if he's OK. Dickens gets back to half guard. Stevens sitting and controlling from the half guard. Dickens wants to get back to full guard. Stevens not landing any meaningful shots this time. Dickens looking for submissions off his back. Dickens is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stevens pulls his head out easily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Stevens sitting and controlling from the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Dean Stevens will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Dean Stevens's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Dickens closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stevens circles away. Dickens throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dickens goes for a double leg but Stevens avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stevens continues to drive forward. Stevens gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Dickens keeping moving, preventing Stevens from controlling successfully. Stevens got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dickens has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stevens has managed to get both his arms back between Dickens's legs - danger averted. Stevens has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Stevens trying to control the position from guard on top but Dickens is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dickens has his foot on Stevens's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stevens works his way back into a safe position though. Stevens wants to get up but he can't break Dickens's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Dickens keeping moving, preventing Stevens from controlling successfully. Dean Stevens has got the better of the ground game so far. Stevens scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Dickens is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dickens wants to sweep but no luck. Dickens will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Stevens cracks Dickens with a solid left hand. Stevens controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Dickens throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Stevens scoring with some ground and pound. Stevens is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Dickens can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Stevens controls the pace. Dickens looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Dean Stevens really dominated that round. The cut man is working on Dean Stevens's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Stevens scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dickens doesn't seem bothered though. Stevens thuds a left hand into Dickens's body. Dean Stevens seems to be getting the better of the standup. Stevens digs a good hook to Dickens's body.
Dickens doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. A shot to the liver by Stevens. Beautiful body shot. Stevens is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Dickens rather than just go for the knockout. Dickens misses with a head kick.
Stevens connects with a combination that backs up Dickens into the cage. Stevens lands a flurry of punches that gets past Dickens's guard. Dickens is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Stevens bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dean Stevens! Dean Stevens retains his welterweight title! Dean Stevens gave a mention to Milwaukee's Best 160 SALE $140 in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
