Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor McGregor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alex Silva!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails with a takedown attempt.
McGregor defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Silva.
Silva shoots in but McGregor avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Conor McGregor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Silva.
Silva darts in looking for a takedown but McGregor gets double underhooks and turns Silva into the cage.
A frustrated look appears on McGregor's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Silva jumps guard but McGregor turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Silva tries for a takedown but McGregor manages to get underhooks.

McGregor gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Silva.
Silva changes levels and goes for a takedown here. McGregor fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Silva dives in for a single leg takedown but McGregor sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Silva has McGregor pressed against the cage, preventing McGregor from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Silva prevents McGregor from breaking the clinch.

McGregor looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Silva fails to pull the fight into his guard.

McGregor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Alex Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva goes for a double leg but McGregor avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McGregor continues to drive forward.
Silva keeps control of McGregor as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

McGregor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but McGregor shows good takedown defense.
Silva shoots in but McGregor avoids the takedown attempt easily.
McGregor is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McGregor as he jumps to the side.
Silva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McGregor swivels and escapes.
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McGregor's waist but McGregor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.
McGregor defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Silva.
No luck for Silva with that takedown attempt.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Silva is defended easily by McGregor.
Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown

and McGregor counters with a takedown into side control.
McGregor wants to stand but Silva is controlling his arm.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silva is looking to reverse the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

McGregor decides to stand up, so the ref orders Silva to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McGregor as he avoids it easily.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McGregor's guard.
Silva missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
McGregor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.

Silva trying to control but McGregor is working from the bottom.
Silva is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Alex Silva wasn't active enough on the ground.
Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McGregor pinned against the cage. McGregor gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Silva closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. McGregor quickly recovers to half guard.
Silva is looking to advance position but McGregor won't allow it.
Silva is keen to just control but McGregor is a slippery customer.
Silva thows a huge punch but McGregor dodges it nicely.

Silva is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

McGregor wants to get back to his feet but Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Alex Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Silva has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as McGregor is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McGregor's waist but McGregor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McGregor as he jumps to the side.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Silva fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Silva throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McGregor was covering up waiting for the punch and Silva finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Silva is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McGregor is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McGregor has escaped and now he's on top!
McGregor wants to stand but Silva has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

McGregor is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Silva has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. McGregor is looking to defend but Silva has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for McGregor! Silva pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, McGregor taps out and this one is all over!
