Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Monty Carlo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Markovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlo comes to the cage accompanied by Give Life back to Music. Markovic has chosen Struka feat. Reksona - Od Nule as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Carlo has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Markovic looks to clinch
and Carlo counters with a shoot takedown. Markovic fights it but they end up in guard.
Markovic is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Carlo is controlling him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Markovic wants to get back to his feet but Carlo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Carlo lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Carlo breaks from Markovic's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Markovic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carlo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Carlo lands with some strikes.

Carlo looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Markovic is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Carlo fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Carlo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Markovic leaves Carlo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
No luck for Carlo with that takedown attempt.
Markovic tries to clinch up but Carlo circles away and keeps his distance.
Carlo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Markovic napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Markovic is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

You can see the frustration on Markovic's face as Carlo controls the position.
Carlo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Markovic for as long as he can get away with.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Markovic wants to get back to his feet but Carlo is dominant here and he's now got Markovic's back!
Carlo is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
