The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross throws a poor cross that misses
so Socha counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Socha throws a big elbow that misses.
Socha engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Socha slips nicely into half guard.
Ross pushes Socha off looking to stand but Socha dives back in and keeps control.
Socha throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ross can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ross is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Socha fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Ross tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Socha lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Ross is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Socha.

Ross is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Socha off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Socha is working for a rear naked choke. Ross is not defending it well and Socha has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Ross refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Ross's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
