Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robert Dorklicz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alex Jones! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dorklicz shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jones manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Jones is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dorklicz is looking to stand up but Jones won't let him. Dorklicz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Dorklicz wants to stand and escape but instead Jones has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Jones sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dorklicz's guard. Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dorklicz is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dorklicz is defending against the submission attempts here by Jones.
Jones is trying to work for a kimura but Dorklicz is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dorklicz is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dorklicz tries to kick Jones off in order to stand up. Jones Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Jones tries for a kimura but Dorklicz is defending well. Dorklicz is not content to let Jones control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dorklicz tries to escape but Jones is in control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Jones dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Dorklicz on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Jones takes a swing at Dorklicz's ribcage but misses. Dorklicz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dorklicz working away. Dorklicz wants to stand but Jones has his arm trapped. Jones wants to control but Dorklicz postures up. Dorklicz tries to get to his feet but Jones is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Dorklicz in his guard. Dorklicz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground. Dorklicz throws a big elbow that misses. Jones looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones looking for a guillotine here but Dorklicz defends easily.
Dorklicz throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely. Dorklicz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dorklicz has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted. Jones controls Dorklicz momentarily but Dorklicz frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dorklicz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. This has been an exciting period of action! Dorklicz wants to stand and escape but instead Jones has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dorklicz is keeping the position for now. Jones drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dorklicz dives on top into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dorklicz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dorklicz defends well. Dorklicz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Jones controls Dorklicz momentarily but Dorklicz frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dorklicz wants to stand but Jones has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Dorklicz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Dorklicz looking to pass the guard. Dorklicz throwing strikes but missing. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jones can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dorklicz controls the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Jones swings for the body but Dorklicz moves out of range.
Robert Dorklicz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones tries to sprawl but Dorklicz drives through with a takedown into half guard. Jones trying to hold on to Dorklicz's head to control him but Dorklicz postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones actively working from the bottom here. Dorklicz is stalling here. Jones is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Dorklicz seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jones has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Jones working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dorklicz is trying to get back to his feet. Dorklicz tries to bench press Jones off him but Jones keeps the position. Dorklicz tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Dorklicz is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones looking for the choke from the back. Dorklicz tries to break free.
Dorklicz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dorklicz holding both Jones 's hands and preventing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dorklicz is trying to defend against the choke here but Jones has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Jones Tightens the hold and Dorklicz taps out furiously! Jones displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
