Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Hoklet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Diego Digogo! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Hoklet does no damage. Digogo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hoklet swivels and escapes. Digogo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hoklet.

Digogo slips a jab and a cross from Hoklet.
Digogo shoots for a takedown but Hoklet saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hoklet swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Digogo has Hoklet up against the cage in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Digogo gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hoklet avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Digogo. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Digogo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Digogo connects with a nice short shot to Hoklet's temple. Digogo passes to side control. Digogo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hoklet, who protects the arm well. Digogo works to advance to full mount. Hoklet defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Digogo looking to control and managing it successfully. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Digogo lands a big elbow. Hoklet tries to hold on but Digogo pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Digogo working away from the top, dropping strikes. Hoklet is in all sorts of trouble here.
Digogo is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hoklet has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Digogo is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Digogo!
