Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Pearson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacky Ler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ler has chosen Rise of the fallen as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tyson Pearson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jacky Ler! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, David Schapiro and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ler keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Pearson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ler but Ler pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ler tries to close the distance and clinch but Pearson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pearson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ler was covering up waiting for the punch and Pearson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Pearson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ler is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Ler is working an open guard so Pearson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Ler missing with a left hand there. Pearson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Pearson shoots in for a double leg but Ler sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Ler doesn't manage to clinch there - Pearson circles away.
Pearson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Ler has Pearson up against the cage in a clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ler wants to stand up but Pearson is controlling him. Pearson drops back looking for a leg! Ler is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ler manages to kick Pearson off! Pearson jumps back into Ler's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pearson stops Ler from standing up. Pearson advances position into side control! Pearson is trying to get an arm triangle but Ler is defending well. Pearson has hold of Ler's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Ler tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Pearson cranks the arm and Ler screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Ler, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
