Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Liam McCullough (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milton Blahyi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McCullough might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Kan Ar Kern. The key to victory for Liam McCullough has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Liam McCullough! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Milton Blahyi! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Bruno Lombardi and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCullough steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Blahyi. Blahyi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Blahyi showed some decent athleticism there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blahyi is taking a breather. McCullough says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. McCullough won't allow Blahyi to pass to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McCullough tries to get to full guard but Blahyi has control of the leg. Blahyi working over McCullough with some ground and pound. McCullough looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. McCullough blocking the ground and pound attempt from Blahyi.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCullough manages to get to full guard.
McCullough seems keen to control Blahyi's posture. Blahyi stopping the sweep attempt from McCullough. McCullough knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Blahyi on the ground. Blahyi controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Blahyi passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blahyi tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Blahyi working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Blahyi wants to lay and pray for a moment but McCullough keeps working. McCullough dodges the ground and pound from Blahyi. The strikes coming from Blahyi are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Blahyi working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blahyi just content to control the position. Blahyi trying to control the position but McCullough is working away. McCullough is looking for a sweep. Blahyi wants to lay and pray for a moment but McCullough keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blahyi working away. Blahyi lands a few punches from side control. Blahyi scoring with punches from side control. Blahyi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Blahyi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! McCullough is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. McCullough on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McCullough tries to get out of the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Blahyi passes the guard and advances to mount! Blahyi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Milton Blahyi dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Blahyi looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Blahyi swings widly with a right hand
and McCullough counters with a straight right hand. Blahyi avoids the head kick by McCullough.
McCullough thows a body shot but no joy. McCullough lets loose with a powerful body kick. Blahyi will feel that in the morning. McCullough slips a jab from Blahyi. McCullough thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Blahyi if he has to take too many more of those.
Blahyi has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by McCullough.
McCullough throws a front kick that sends Blahyi stumbling back into the cage. McCullough uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Blahyi. Blahyi takes a head kick and keeps coming.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McCullough feints and then cracks Blahyi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Blahyi down. McCullough throws a wild body kick that Blahyi sees coming a mile off. Horrible takedown by Blahyi or perhaps it was just good defense by McCullough which made him look bad. McCullough throws a front kick aimed at Blahyi's knee but Blahyi avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCullough feints and then cracks Blahyi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Blahyi down. Blahyi has a takedown stuffed. McCullough fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Blahyi manages to avoid it. No luck with that takedown attempt from Blahyi. Liam McCullough has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Milton Blahyi. Blahyi is trying hard to land a takedown here. McCullough sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. McCullough jabs at Blahyi's body. Blahyi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McCullough pushes Blahyi away with a front kick. Blahyi takes one to the side of the head.
McCullough misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McCullough lands a head kick!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A clash of legs there as McCullough blocks the low kick. Liam McCullough is winning the standup battle so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blahyi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McCullough was well out of range. Poor timing from Blahyi. Blahyi throws a low kick but McCullough moves out of range easily. Blahyi takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Liam McCullough is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McCullough dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Blahyi. That did some damage! Blahyi misses with a straight left. Blahyi connects with a good right hand that stumbles McCullough. McCullough circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Liam McCullough seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McCullough throws a head kick that half lands.
McCullough moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Blahyi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. McCullough avoids the body shot from Blahyi.
A thudding body kick lands there by McCullough!
Jab by McCullough. Blahyi moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. McCullough scores with a hook.
Blahyi is rocked! Blahyi gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! McCullough gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Blahyi is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Liam McCullough! Liam McCullough decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
