Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between George Pol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mscibor Olszewicz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mscibor Olszewicz! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Olszewicz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pol throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Olszewicz. Pol moves out of range as Olszewicz throws a body kick.
Pol shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Olszewicz as he avoids it easily. Pol tries to score a power double leg takedown but Olszewicz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pol somewhat. Pol looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Olszewicz is fending him off so far but Pol persists. Nope, Olszewicz circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Pol. That's going to take a lot out of him. Olszewicz scoring well with a low kick there.

Olszewicz looks to clinch and Pol counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Pol controlling the pace. Pol is looking to take a break and control but Olszewicz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pol is working for a kimura but Olszewicz is defending it quite comfortably.
Pol is just content to waste time from the top position. Olszewicz takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Olszewicz is pulling down on Pol's head to control his posture. Olszewicz looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Olszewicz controls Pol momentarily but Pol frees himself. Pol avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pol not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Olszewicz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pol doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pol manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Olszewicz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pol. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Olszewicz keeping moving, preventing Pol from controlling successfully.

Pol is pressing down on Olszewicz's thigh, looking to free his foot. Olszewicz is holding on for now. Olszewicz has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Still in half guard, Pol seems content to control. Pol seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Olszewicz for as long as he can get away with. Olszewicz wants to control but Pol is keeping busy and won't allow it.

George Pol overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pol is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Pol avoids the attempt from Olszewicz to control. Pol in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pol landing shots from mount. Pol has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Olszewicz tries to hold on but Pol postures up. Pol has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Olszewicz's face.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Olszewicz wants to hold on but Pol pushes him away. Pol trying to control but Olszewicz is having none of it. Olszewicz wants to control but Pol is having none of it. BOOM! Pol connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Olszewicz is squirming around, avoiding Pol's attempts to control the action. Olszewicz is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Olszewicz is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Pol is staying active. Pol controlling his opponent. Olszewicz is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Pol raining down hammerfists from mount. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pol controlling the pace for now. Pol avoids the attempt from Olszewicz to control. Olszewicz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Olszewicz might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pol haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
