Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Knife (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen See my Tears as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Chris Smith enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Knife! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Smith! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith throws a lazy right hand but Knife sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A punch combination from Smith misses. Smith tries to bum rush Knife with a series of wild strikes but Knife uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Knife moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Smith throws a nice looking combination but Knife bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Smith swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Knife counter with a right hand. Smith misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Smith looks to land a combination but Knife avoids it well. Knife connects with a nice looking jab.
Knife throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Knife lands a head kick. Smith smiles back at him and beckons him forward. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Knife connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Smith's hands. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Knife, as that shot connected.
No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smith throws a jab but it's blocked by Knife. Smith has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Smith there as he acknowledges the shot. Knife wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Smith misses with a double jab
and Knife counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Smith thinking. Knife lands with a nice body punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Knife counters with a left to the body. Smith looks winded! Smith stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Knife. Smith misses with a double jab
and Knife counters with a straight right hand. Chris Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Knife scores with a jab. Smith acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Smith throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Knife counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Knife dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Knife slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Smith is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Knife circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Smith to the canvas! Smith doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Knife keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Knife! Jack Knife retains his lightweight title!
