Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Lazarus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lazarus might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Last Resort. Lewis is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Shut'Em Down. Kirk Lazarus could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mike Lewis's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lazarus shoots in looking for a takedown. Lewis tries to sprawl out of it but Lazarus keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lewis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lazarus chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lewis can pounce on him.
Lazarus misses the shot to the body.
A jab from Lazarus misses.
Lazarus lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Lazarus comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Lewis stuffs the takedown.
Lazarus misses with a combination
and Lewis counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Nice takedown defense from Lewis. No joy for Lazarus on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kirk Lazarus. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lazarus connects with a nice looking jab.

and Lewis counters with a good low kick that Lazarus was not able to check.

Lazarus tries to clinch up.
Mike Lewis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lazarus moves out of range as Lewis throws a body kick.
Nice defenses there by Lewis.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lazarus. Lewis does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lazarus throws a series of punches but Lewis moves out of range.
Some bone on bone action there as Lewis checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kirk Lazarus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lazarus throws a lazy uppercut
and Lewis counters with a nice leg kick.
Lewis bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lazarus throws a combination that misses
and Lewis counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Lewis looks at the referee who does nothing so Lewis lands a crushing right that sends Lazarus to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Lewis!
A relieved looking Mike Lewis thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
