Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between El Chavo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Stugatz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, El Chavo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paulo Stugatz! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chavo lands a nice hook to Stugatz's body. Stugatz takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Chavo dodges the punch combination from Stugatz.
Chavo connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Stugatz throws a body punch but Chavo moves out of range. Chavo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chavo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Stugatz doesn't seem bothered though. Chavo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stugatz moves away. Stugatz scores with a nice right hand.
Chavo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The fighters circling - Stugatz throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Stugatz takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Stugatz's jab looks to have found its range, popping Chavo under the eye. Stugatz misses with a combination
and Chavo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stugatz's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Chavo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chavo lands a couple of digs. Chavo connects with a couple of short punches. Stugatz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Chavo trying to control but Stugatz is working from the bottom. Chavo sitting in guard here, content to control. Chavo postures up and lands a big shot to Stugatz's brow. Stugatz is looking to stand up but Chavo isn't so interested in that idea. Chavo lands a couple of elbows. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stugatz has his hands on Chavo's head, controlling the position. Chavo wants to control from the top but Stugatz keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chavo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stugatz wants to get back to his feet but Chavo passes into half guard.
Chavo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ground and pound from Chavo. Chavo lands strikes from half guard. Chavo is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Chavo is taking a breather. Stugatz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Chavo is trying to control the action in half guard but Stugatz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chavo connects with a nice short shot to Stugatz's temple. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chavo landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chavo thows a huge punch but Stugatz dodges it nicely.
Chavo is taking a breather. Stugatz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Stugatz on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Chavo trying to control from half guard but Stugatz is working away. Chavo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stugatz is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Stugatz blocking the ground and pound attempt from Chavo. Chavo not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chavo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chavo moves into full mount! Stugatz won't be happy about that! Chavo landing strikes, looking to finish! Stugatz is trying desperately to improve position. Stugatz sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Stugatz wants to get back to his feet. Chavo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Stugatz has hold of Chavo's hands but Chavo slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Stugatz trying to get back to full guard but Chavo takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Chavo lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Stugatz is rocked! Chavo lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Stugatz! Chavo sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Stugatz and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). El Chavo! During a confident post fight interview, El Chavo thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
