Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Manny Machado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Fray!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Fray looks to land a combination but Machado avoids it well.
Fray displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Machado drives through and clinches with Fray against the cage.
I was talking to Machado's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
A short left from Machado.
Fray is trying to force a seperation but Machado has the dominant position.
Fray lands with a light punch inside.
Fray tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Machado's elbow.
Machado lands a hook to the side of the head.
Machado tries to throw a body punch but Fray avoids it by throwing Machado back against the cage.
Machado is leaning against Fray and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Machado breaks the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fray tries to close the distance and clinch but Machado swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Machado gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A shot in the inside from Machado.
Fray wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Machado has him pressed against the cage.
Fray is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Nice body punch from Machado - that landed with a thud.
Machado prevents Fray from breaking the clinch.

Machado lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Machado tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Fray struggles to land a body shot inside as Machado controls his hands.
A frustrated look appears on Fray's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Machado misses with a hook to the ribs.
Fray doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Machado is pushing Fray up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Machado as Fray tries to tie him up.
Fray's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Machado moves into the clinch successfully.
Machado lands a nice knee to the body.

Machado landing knees to the body.
Fray breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Machado cracks Fray with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Fray falls to his knees and Machado doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
