Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Calgary Alberta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Travis Green!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Alberta counters with a stiff right hand.

Alberta drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Alberta wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Green, who protects the arm well.

Alberta decides to stand up, so the ref orders Green to his feet.
Alberta ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Travis Green seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alberta lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Alberta.

Green gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Alberta to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Green has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alberta can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Green working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alberta doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alberta manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Alberta might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Alberta decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Green, up you get!

and Alberta counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Green's guard now.

Green throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Alberta's waist but Alberta gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Green off to one side.
Green throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Alberta feints and as Green raises his hands in defense, Alberta changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Alberta wants to stand and escape but instead Green has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Alberta escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Green gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Alberta has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Green off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Alberta bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Alberta wants to control but Green is keeping him busy.

Alberta is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Green has escaped the position, nice work there.

Green is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Alberta's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Green is refusing to be controlled, as Alberta sits in half guard.

Alberta shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Green's guard.

Green with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Alberta to score with a decent uppercut.

and Alberta holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Green is breathing heavily.

Alberta seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Alberta wants to hit a switch here but Green passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Alberta there!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Green wants to finish this one by submission but Alberta is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Green.

Green goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Alberta turns into him and now he's in Green's guard.

Alberta closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Green quickly recovers to half guard.

Calgary Alberta decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
