The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendle throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jackson on the side of the head.
Jackson misses with a takedown attempt - Mendle sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mendle misses the shot to the body.
Mendle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mendle throws a nice outside leg kick.
Jackson tries to clinch but Mendle is having none of it.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Jackson fails with the takedown
and Mendle counters with a takedown into side control.

Mendle lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jackson down.
