The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Refn walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Def tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Refn swivels and escapes.
Def tries to keep at a distance but Refn has taken the fight into the clinch.
Def has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Refn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Def with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Def tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Refn smiles and moves away.
Nicolas Refn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mos Def.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Nicolas Refn will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Def shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Refn throws a hook to the side of Def's head but Def sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Refn clinches up against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Refn avoiding damage as Def throws knees to the body.
Refn looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Refn working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Def landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Refn manages to break the clinch.
Refn feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Refn connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Def covering up! Refn comes in with a big uppercut and Def goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
