The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyler avoids the head kick by Tomato.
Cus Tomato seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tyler. Tomato does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tomato throws a half hearted mid kick.
Tomato throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Tomato misses with a wild body shot.
Tomato misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tomato throws a front kick that sends Tyler stumbling back into the cage.
Tomato misses with an attempted mid kick.

Tyler connects with a body shot.
Tyler takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Tomato gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Tomato throws a predictable looking body shot
and Tomato takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tyler lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Tomato throws a body punch but Tyler moves out of range.
Tyler fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tomato throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Tyler scores with a body shot.
Tomato throws a sloppy head kick and Tyler moves out of range easily.
Tyler blocks the body kick.
Tyler scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tomato doesn't seem bothered though.
Tomato is breathing heavily.

Tomato throws a push kick but Tyler slaps the foot to one side.
Tyler throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Tomato throws a lazy uppercut
and Tyler counters with a series of strikes. Tomato will be more careful next time no doubt.
Tomato thows a body shot but no joy.
Tomato is looking to wear down Tyler with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Tomato throws a poor cross that misses
and Tyler counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Tomato misses with a left hand
and Tyler cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Tomato rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tyler moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tomato tries to land a body kick
and Tyler counters with a nice uppercut.
Tyler takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Tomato throws a push kick but Tyler slaps the foot to one side.
Tyler avoids a kick to the body.
Tyler lands a left and a right that send Tomato crashing to the mat, dazed. Tyler thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Tomato is rocked!

Tomato tries a low kick but Tyler avoids it.
Tomato misses with a right hand
and Tyler counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Oh Tomato is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tyler is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Tomato had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Tomato gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Tomato tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Tyler is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Tomato buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Tomato!! Tomato is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Tyler throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Tyler!
During a confident post fight interview, John Tyler thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
