Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pieda gets caught napping as Kupalogs dives in and scores a takedown. Pieda manages to retain guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pieda can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kupalogs shoots in looking for a takedown. Pieda tries to sprawl out of it but Kupalogs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pieda manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Pieda shoots in looking for a takedown but Kupalogs manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pieda's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
