Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Raphson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Hyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyatt has chosen Street fighter as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Hyatt! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raphson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hyatt has had enough of the clinch but Raphson keeps him there for the moment. Hyatt has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Raphson has Hyatt pressed against the cage, preventing Hyatt from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Raphson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hyatt's efforts to push away. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Raphson with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Raphson has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Raphson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Carl Raphson. I think Hyatt has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
