Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barry McKean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Saburov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McKean might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Korn - Shoots and Ladders. The key to victory for Barry McKean has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Saburov!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saburov scores with a shot to the body.
McKean lands a nice looking kick to the body. Saburov takes a step back to recover.
McKean uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Saburov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Saburov scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Saburov misses with a head shot. McKean uses the momentum to regain guard.
McKean is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
McKean keeping moving, preventing Saburov from controlling successfully.
Saburov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Saburov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Saburov wants to control from the top but McKean keeps moving.
Saburov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McKean swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
McKean misses with a shot to the body
and McKean takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Horrible takedown by Saburov or perhaps it was just good defense by McKean which made him look bad.
McKean attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McKean just misses with a punch to the body.
McKean fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Saburov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Saburov avoids a punch combination nicely.
McKean misses with a jab, cross combination.
A leg kick checked by Saburov.
McKean misses with a kick to the body.
Saburov throws out a loose jab but McKean uses good head movement to avoid it.
Saburov shoots for a takedown but McKean saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A decent looking cross lands there for McKean.

Saburov misses with a jab to the body
and McKean counters with a straight right hand.
McKean takes a swing at Saburov's ribcage but misses.
McKean throws the kick towards the body but Saburov avoids it.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Saburov!
McKean misses with a looping left.
McKean waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Saburov.
McKean fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Saburov throws a left and a right that both miss
and McKean counters with a leg kick.
Barry McKean is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McKean keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Barry McKean has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Saburov.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Saburov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McKean moves away.
Saburov shoots in looking for a takedown. McKean tries to sprawl out of it but Saburov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McKean manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A big right from McKean misses.
Saburov lands a jab to McKean's midsection.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nice takedown defense from McKean. No joy for Saburov on that attempt.
A slow jab from Saburov misses its intended target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Barry McKean dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Saburov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McKean.
Nice combo by McKean! Oh, that's hurt him - Saburov falls to the canvas and McKean follows him into side control.


Saburov is rocked!

McKean decides to stand back up. McKean steps back and let's Saburov get back to his feet.
Saburov is still on wobbly legs! Can McKean finish him?
McKean bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Saburov seems to have recovered his senses.
Saburov misses with a hook to the body
and McKean counters with a big right hand! Oh Saburov is in trouble here! McKean follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Barry McKean!
