Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulione Scneider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scneider has chosen UnderGroundKings as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paulione Scneider! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scneider manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Diaz on his heels. He'll look to pass Diaz's guard now, I'm sure. Scneider throwing strikes from guard but Diaz blocks nicely. Scneider trying to control the position from guard on top but Diaz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Scneider gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Scneider chips away with some ground and pound. Scneider slips nicely into half guard. Diaz is trying to escape back to his feet but Scneider uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Diaz is trying to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Scneider cracks Diaz with a big right hand but Diaz just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Scneider creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Diaz wants to get back to his feet but Scneider drags him back down. Scneider controlling the position from side mount. Diaz tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Scneider wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Scneider decides to stand back up. Scneider steps back and let's Diaz get back to his feet. A telegraphed right hand from Scneider misses the target. Scneider swats away the attempt to clinch by Diaz. Scneider takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz cracks Scneider with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Diaz lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Scneider looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Diaz! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Scneider working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Diaz gets back to half guard. Scneider not doing much here.
Diaz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Scneider pulls his head out easily. Scneider missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Scneider has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Diaz is trying to stand up. Diaz tries to get back to half guard but can't. Scneider lands with some strikes. Diaz wants to try and get back to his feet. Diaz regains half guard. Scneider prevents Diaz from standing back up.
Scneider is looking for a kimura here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz is trying to stand up here but Scneider is controlling him well. Diaz is staying active underneath Scneider, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Scneider not landing any meaningful shots this time. Diaz looks like he's trying to stand up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diaz trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paulione Scneider dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Scneider gets the takedown into side control. Diaz is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Scneider has just dragged him back down to the mat. Diaz being controlled for a moment. Diaz wants to get back to his feet but Scneider drags him back down. Scneider in side control lands a decent elbow. Diaz pushes Scneider away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Scneider gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Scneider postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Diaz is trying to buck Scneider off. Sloppy strikes there by Scneider. My spies in Round Table Elite inform me that Scneider has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
That's one minute gone in the round. Scneider wants to control but Diaz is keeping him busy. Scneider tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Diaz is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Scneider off and has taken his back! Diaz has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Scneider! Can he survive? No! He's out! Diaz gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Nick Diaz! After the fight, Nick Diaz was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
