The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scneider manages to get an easy takedown there - catching O Malley on his heels. He'll look to pass O Malley's guard now, I'm sure.
Scneider sitting in guard, not really doing much.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Paulione Scneider.

Scneider gets the takedown into side control.
Scneider lands a decent elbow from side control.
Scneider is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt O Malley will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Scneider is working O Malley over with some ground and pound from side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

It looks like Scneider might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Paulione Scneider hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Scneider throws a left and a right that both miss
and O Malley counters with a series of strikes. Scneider will be more careful next time no doubt.
Scneider takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Scneider throws a jab but it's blocked by O Malley.
Scneider misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
O Malley avoids a punch combination nicely.
O Malley swats away the attempt to clinch by Scneider.

Scneider bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

O Malley wants to get back to his feet but Scneider drags him back down.
O Malley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
O Malley takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Scneider looks up at the clock and then as O Malley takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Scneider smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Scneider is chipping away with strikes.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Scneider scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at O Malley to see if he's OK.
Scneider is staying tight to O Malley's torso, preventing him from escaping.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jason O Malley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paulione Scneider.

O Malley tries to sprawl but Scneider drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Scneider winds up and cracks O Malley with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Scneider takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Paulione Scneider was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Scneider is trying hard to land a takedown here. O Malley sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Scneider will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jason O Malley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

O Malley is trying to push Scneider away but Scneider has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Scneider looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but O Malley is defending well. Scneider quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! O Malley has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Scneider celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
