Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Stan Rivers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Greg Stabbard!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivers throws a nice head kick!
Stabbard throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rivers throws a series of punches but Stabbard moves out of range.

Stabbard has Rivers up against the cage in a clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Rivers obliges.
Rivers lands an elbow just above Stabbard 's eye.
Stabbard tries to score a body lock takedown but Rivers shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

A body shot lands from Rivers.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rivers pushes Stabbard back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Rivers digs a right hand underneath Stabbard's ribcage. Stabbard let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Rivers putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Stabbard in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Our sources have told us that Rivers has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Rivers lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Stabbard backwards.
Rivers is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Rivers using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Stabbard takes an elbow to the temple.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rivers softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Rivers lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Stabbard or not.
Rivers effectively controlling the action here.

Rivers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rivers moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


Stabbard is rocked!
Rivers rushes Stabbard with punches - Stabbard moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Stabbard goes down! Rivers follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stan Rivers!
