PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Angel McClelland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Welsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Welsh has chosen Lets Have A War as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that TJ Welsh was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Angel McClelland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, TJ Welsh!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McClelland throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
McClelland shoots in and drives through. Welsh sprawls well.

McClelland is trying to drag Welsh to the mat but Welsh just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Welsh is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McClelland is just riding it out for now. Welsh eventually gives up the hold.

Welsh just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

After the fight, TJ Welsh was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
