Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jose Aldo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Edwin Tetenbaum! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aldo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Aldo tries to clinch but Tetenbaum moves away and Tetenbaum counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tetenbaum. Aldo working a defensive guard but Tetenbaum passes into half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Aldo scores with a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aldo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Aldo lands a head kick. Tetenbaum smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Aldo throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tetenbaum. Aldo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tetenbaum.

Tetenbaum ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Tetenbaum drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Tetenbaum looking to control the position here, rather than advance. It looks like Tetenbaum might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Edwin Tetenbaum was stalling too much, according to the referee. Aldo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Aldo pushes Tetenbaum away with a front kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Aldo scores with a spinning back kick! Tetenbaum moves into the clinch. Tetenbaum gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Aldo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tetenbaum tries to free his leg and advance position but Aldo is retaining full guard. Tetenbaum controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Aldo wants to control but Tetenbaum passes easily into half guard.

Aldo is breathing heavily. Tetenbaum seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Aldo tries to get to full guard but Tetenbaum has control of the leg. Tetenbaum wants to pass to mount but Aldo is defending the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aldo is looking to escape. Aldo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Tetenbaum is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Tetenbaum rushes Aldo and presses him up against the cage. Aldo is trying to break the clinch but Tetenbaum has him pressed against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edwin Tetenbaum dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Aldo looks to clinch and Tetenbaum counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Aldo trying to control the position but instead, Tetenbaum has worked for underhooks and has pushed Aldo into the cage. Tetenbaum gets a trip takedown into half guard. Tetenbaum trying to pass the guard but Aldo defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aldo tries to roll over but Tetenbaum keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aldo is looking to control Tetenbaum's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Aldo avoid being mounted? Tetenbaum is pressing down on Aldo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Aldo is holding on for now. Aldo wants to sweep but Tetenbaum has passed to side control! Tetenbaum controlling from side mount. Aldo gets back to half guard. Well, if Tetenbaum is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Aldo has a hand on Tetenbaum's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Tetenbaum takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Aldo wants to control but Tetenbaum is having none of it. Aldo can't escape the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tetenbaum controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aldo is wriggling around trying to escape.
Edwin Tetenbaum has got the better of the ground game so far. Tetenbaum controlling from mount. Aldo tries to hold on but Tetenbaum pushes him away.

Tetenbaum takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Tetenbaum uses his free foot to push down on Aldo's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Aldo. Tetenbaum tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aldo tries to hold on but Tetenbaum pushes him away. Tetenbaum takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Aldo bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Tetenbaum has Aldo pulled in close to control his posture.
And that's the end of the fight! Edwin Tetenbaum comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Tetenbaum winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
