Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gunner State Jr.!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Reed Andrews and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stratton just misses with a punch to the body.

Stratton gets a takedown into half guard.
State Jr. trying to control from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Still in half guard, Stratton seems content to control.
Stratton's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Eric Stratton.
Stratton throws a shot to the body.
State Jr. shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Stratton connects with a nice looking jab.
State Jr. uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stratton.
Stratton walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Stratton fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Stratton looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
State Jr. gets back to full guard.
State Jr. looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
State Jr. keeps trying to improve his position.
Stratton passes State Jr.'s right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Stratton definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Stratton slows the pace down in half guard.
Stratton thows a huge punch but State Jr. dodges it nicely.
Stratton seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Stratton looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

State Jr. has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Stratton. Oh but State Jr. has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Stratton goes limp - he's gone! State Jr. jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

After winning the bout, Gunner State Jr. thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
