Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Branton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Stallion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Branton kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Face the Pain by Stemm. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Mike Stallion enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Billy Branton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Stallion! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Branton tries to clinch but Stallion moves away letting Stallion counter with a right hand. Stallion scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Stallion loads up on a big right hand but Branton slips the punch. Stallion stuns Branton with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Stallion throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Stallion is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Branton misses with a looping right. Branton doesn't manage to clinch there - Stallion circles away.

Stallion has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Branton tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Stallion defends well and Branton ends up having to push Stallion into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Stallion throws a combination. Branton tries to block but a couple of punches get through. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Good leg kick by Branton there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Mike Stallion is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Branton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stallion scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Branton tries to clinch up but Stallion circles away and keeps his distance. Stallion looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Branton moves into the clinch. Stallion has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Branton using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Stallion has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Stallion is trying to break free. Stallion tries to break the clinch but Branton is controlling the position. Branton keeps control of Stallion as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Branton misses with a punch on the inside.

Branton wants to clinch. Stallion works Branton's body with a nice hook. Stallion defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Branton. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Branton. That's going to take a lot out of him. A looping hook to the body misses from Stallion. Branton does a little dance to reset his feet. Branton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. The fight stays on the outside here - Branton looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Branton wants to clinch. Branton darts in trying to clinch and Stallion counters with a crisp one two that drops Branton! Stallion thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Branton to his feet! Branton is in big trouble!
Branton is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Branton uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Stallion. Stallion misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Branton throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Branton shoots in but Stallion avoids the takedown attempt easily. Branton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stallion paws at him with a jab and circles away. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Stallion throws a nice looking combination but Branton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Branton fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Stallion dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Branton shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Stallion pushes Branton off looking to stand but Branton dives back in and keeps control.
Stallion is refusing to be controlled, as Branton sits in half guard. Branton stops Stallion from getting back to his feet.
Branton thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Branton prevents Stallion from standing back up.
Branton is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Stallion! Stallion is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Branton is landing with some decent strikes but Stallion is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stallion is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Branton lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Stallion is trying to stand. Stallion is breathing heavily. Branton lands a couple of good shots and Stallion has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Stallion is rocked! Stallion wants to get back to his feet. Stallion is still in real trouble! Can Branton finish him? Branton is cranking Stallion's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Stallion! He's tightened the choke and Stallion is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Billy Branton! Billy Branton was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
