The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wishy Washy throws a combination that misses
and Karate counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Karate.
Karate keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Wishy Washy's efforts to push away.
Wishy Washy has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Karate ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Karate no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Wishy Washy working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Karate looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Wishy Washy is defending well. Karate quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Wishy Washy has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Karate celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
