Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charles Bennet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles Bennet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Max Power! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Power tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Power lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Bennet darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Nice strikes from Bennet there. Bennet wants to pass to mount but Power is defending the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Power can do anything to dispel that myth. Bennet content to control rather than advance. That's one minute gone in the round. Bennet content to control rather than advance. Power on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Bennet scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Bennet keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Bennet throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bennet missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Bennet throwing shots but Power is blocking nicely. Bennet is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Bennet has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Power on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bennet takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Charles Bennet just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Bennet shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Bennet sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Power wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bennet controlling the position easily from mount. Bennet's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Power looks gassed! Bennet putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Horrible takedown by Bennet or perhaps it was just good defense by Power which made him look bad. Bennet lands a two punch combo.
Bennet misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bennet tries for a takedown but Power sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Bennet. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bennet tries to clinch up and Power holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Knees in the clinch landing for Power.

Bennet throws a jab but it's blocked by Power. Bennet swats away the attempt to clinch by Power. Bennet tries for a takedown but Power circles away easily and Power counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bennet is lucky that one didn't land flush. Bennet misses with a two punch combination.
Charles Bennet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bennet tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Power swivels and escapes. Power goes for a high kick. It partially lands. The fight moves into the clinch position. Bennet has picked Power up - he's going for a ride! Bennet dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Bennet is nestled in close to Power, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bennet takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Bennet has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bennet passes the guard and advances to mount! Bennet throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Power has his hands clasped together but Bennet breaks the hold and Power is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Bennet!
