Equinox uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Phillips.
Phillips has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Phillips there as he acknowledges the shot.

Equinox takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Phillips walks straight into a right hand from Equinox - that's dropped him! Equinox jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Phillips from any more punishment! Phillips complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

John Equinox retains his featherweight title!
A relieved looking John Equinox thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
