The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damerrs Sr shoots in for a takedown but Tetenbaum shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tetenbaum accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Tetenbaum dives in and grabs Damerrs Sr's left leg, looking for a takedown. Damerrs Sr pushes down on Tetenbaum's head and hops out.

Tetenbaum shoots in for a double leg but Damerrs Sr sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Damerrs Sr is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Tetenbaum misses with a straight right.

and Tetenbaum counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Damerrs Sr's guard now.
Tetenbaum wants to pass the guard but Damerrs Sr is keeping the position.

Damerrs Sr tries to lock up and control but Tetenbaum gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tetenbaum pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Tetenbaum unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Damerrs Sr wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Tetenbaum celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

After winning the bout, Edwin Tetenbaum thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
