The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Tom Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
St Pierre throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing St Pierre off to one side.

Jones has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of St Pierre is proving hard to escape from.

Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from St Pierre. St Pierre gets slowly back to his feet.

Jones throws a shot to the body.
Jones lands with a big left! St Pierre is wobbled badly! Jones comes in with a flurry of punches and drops St Pierre to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
