Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Paw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Oconner!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paw misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Oconner throws a looping overhand right but Paw ducks down to avoid it.
Paw gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Oconner counters with a nice kick to the body.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Paw!
Paw misses with a takedown
and Oconner counters with a right hand to the body.
Donk. Oconner catches Paw right on the button with a cross.
Oconner misses with a few strikes there.
Oconner has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Paw misses with a takedown attempt
and Oconner counters with a leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Paw. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Paw is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Oconner has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Oconner might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Paw is trying to stand up here but Oconner is controlling him well.
Oconner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Paw. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref stands the fighters back up. David Oconner was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Paw moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Paw lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Jason Paw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oconner showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Paw.
Paw misses with a double jab.
Paw works the jab nicely.
No joy there for Paw, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Paw uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Oconner.

Oconner jabs at Paw's body.
Oconner doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Oconner moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Paw lands a two punch combo.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Oconner.

Oconner lands a left and a right that send Paw crashing to the mat, dazed. Oconner thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Paw is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Paw fails to land with a series of punches.
Oh Paw is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Oconner engages and cracks Paw with a massive lead left hook - Paw tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Oconner is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). David Oconner!
