Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mercito Gesta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Pearmine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gesta looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Pearmine closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Gesta manages to work his way to half guard, despite Pearmine's best efforts.
Gesta trying to hold on to Pearmine's head to control him but Pearmine postures up.
Gesta wants to get back to full guard.
Gesta regains full guard. Nicely done.
Gesta tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Gesta has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pearmine can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Pearmine has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gesta to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Pearmine is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gesta pulls down on the head and he's put Pearmine to sleep! This one is all over!

Mercito Gesta really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Xtreme Merchandise logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
