Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Max Cesar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Colt Heston! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cesar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Cesar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Heston should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Heston is trying to improve his position. Heston is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Heston takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Cesar grinds an elbow into Heston's temple. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cesar avoids the strikes from the bottom by Heston. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cesar looks up at the clock and then as Heston takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Cesar smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Cesar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cesar goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Heston rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Cesar's guard! Nice work there by Heston! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Heston throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cesar works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cesar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Heston is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cesar manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Cesar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Heston throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Cesar has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Cesar raining down hammerfists from mount. Cesar raining down hammerfists from mount. Heston really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cesar landing shots from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cesar working for a submission but Heston is keeping him at bay. Cesar raining down hammerfists from mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cesar cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
BOOM! Cesar connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Cesar drops a big elbow. That's hurt Heston! More shots from Cesar and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
