Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, Jordan Statham! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Drew Schilling! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Statham shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Schilling as he avoids it easily. Schilling slaps away a takedown attempt from Statham, before circling back to the center of the mat. Schilling swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Schilling. Statham does a little dance to reset his feet. Statham has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jordan Statham. That's going to take a lot out of him. Statham gets tackled into the cage by Schilling. Schilling maintains the clinch. Schilling is pressed up against the cage. Statham has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Schilling down to the mat. Schilling avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Schilling throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Statham tries to clinch but Schilling moves out of range. Statham goes for a double leg but Schilling avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Schilling continues to drive forward. Schilling softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Schilling breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Statham shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Schilling counters with a right hand to the body. Statham throws a wild body kick that Schilling sees coming a mile off. Statham fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Schilling, pushing him back against the cage. Statham tries for a takedown. No joy.
Statham working hard to break the clinch. Statham has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Schilling is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Statham drops down looking for an ankle pick but Schilling pulls his leg out and moves away.
Statham gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Schilling counters with a stiff right hand. Statham looks for a takedown but Schilling sprawls well. Statham on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Statham fails with the takedown and Schilling connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Schilling misses with a body shot.
Statham misses with a body punch
and Schilling counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Schilling misses the shot to the body. Statham shoots in for a takedown but Schilling shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Statham gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Schilling counters by moving into the clinch. Schilling breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jordan Statham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Statham tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Statham dives in and scores a takedown into Schilling's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Statham is looking to work some ground and pound but Schilling has wrist control. Schilling is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Statham defends well. Schilling working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Statham. Schilling has momentary wrist control but Statham slips an elbow through the middle. Statham throws an elbow that misses. Schilling uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Statham's guard. Nice move by Schilling! Statham will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Schilling stays in close to Statham's body and controls the position. Statham manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Statham landing strikes, looking to finish! Schilling is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee warns Schilling that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
It looks like Drew Schilling has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Statham landing punches. Schilling tries to lock up and control but Statham gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Statham is landing with some decent strikes but Schilling is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Schilling wants to control but Statham is having none of it. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Statham postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Schilling looks a forlorn figure.
Statham cracks Schilling with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jordan Statham dominated that round. The cut man is working on Drew Schilling's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Statham tries to clinch up and Schilling cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Statham wants to clinch and Schilling counters by moving into the clinch. Schilling lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Schilling's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Statham gets a double leg takedown into Schilling's guard. Statham postures up in Schilling's guard and throws a big left but Schilling blocks it. Statham lands a couple of decent looking shots. Statham working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Statham tries to free his leg and advance position but Schilling is retaining full guard. Schilling really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Statham. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Statham is working hard here to advance position. Statham in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Schilling has momentary wrist control but Statham slips an elbow through the middle. Statham passes Schilling's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Statham takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Statham is looking for a kimura but Schilling is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Statham to get the leverage. Statham is controlling the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Statham sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Schilling defending well though. Schilling avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Statham. Statham missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Schilling has hold of Statham's hands but Statham slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Statham with the ground and pound but Schilling uses the opportunity to regain guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Statham with a flurry of punches that miss. Statham content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Statham stands up from guard. Let's bang! Schilling stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Schilling wants it to stay on the feet.

Statham pushes Schilling against the cage but Schilling circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Statham shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. This has been an exciting period of action! Statham tries to close the distance and clinch up but Schilling swats him away and circles back towards the center. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Statham shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Schilling counters by moving into the clinch. Schilling lands a left hand.

Statham dives in for a single leg takedown but Schilling sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Statham is trying to maintain a safe position but Schilling gets an underhook and turns Statham into the cage. Schilling stops a takedown attempt from Statham.

Schilling working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Schilling breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Statham looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Schilling bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Schilling throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Statham has his takedown stuffed and Schilling counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Schilling gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Statham jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Schilling walks away with a smile on his face. Statham gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Schilling stuffs the takedown. Statham misses with a takedown and Schilling counters with a three punch combo that has Statham backing up. Statham nods at Schilling to acknowledge the strikes. Schilling throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Statham wants to land a leg kick but Schilling is out of range. Statham misses with a takedown attempt and Schilling counters with a left and a right that hurts Statham! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Schilling jumps into full mount!
Statham is rocked! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Schilling trying to control but he's not successful this time. Oh Statham is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Statham is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Drew Schilling comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Statham has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
