Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Alonso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Epeli Nailatikau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nailatikau comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Number of the Bollywood kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Pablo Alonso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Epeli Nailatikau!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alonso checks a low kick from Nailatikau.
A nice leg kick lands there from Nailatikau.
A punch combination from Alonso misses.
Nailatikau does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Alonso looks for the body kick but Nailatikau saw that one coming.
Nailatikau throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Nailatikau avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nailatikau misses with a looping left.
A low kick from Nailatikau is predictable there
and Alonso counters with a big head kick but Nailatikau shrugs it off.
Alonso lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nailatikau circles away quickly and effectively.
Nailatikau lands with a thumping leg kick.
Alonso looks to land a left hand but Nailatikau moved out of range nicely.
Nailatikau misses with a head kick.
Nailatikau chopping away at his opponent's legs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nailatikau misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Alonso moves out of range of the body kick.
Epeli Nailatikau seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nailatikau cracks Alonso with a right hand to the side of the head.
Nailatikau throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nailatikau scores with a head kick.
Nailatikau tries a head kick but it misses.
A shot to the body from Nailatikau misses
and Alonso counters with a straight right hand.
Nice straight punches there by Nailatikau. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Nailatikau.
Alonso misses with a combination

and Nailatikau moves into the clinch.
Nailatikau goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alonso wants to get back to striking at distance but Nailatikau won't allow it.

Alonso manages to break the clinch.
Nailatikau scores with a nice right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
No joy there for Alonso, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice straight punches there by Alonso. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Alonso.
Nailatikau throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Nailatikau slips under a jab.
Nailatikau throws a head kick that misses.

Alonso has closed the distance and engaged Nailatikau in a clinch.
Nailatikau connects with a knee to the head.
Nailatikau prevents Alonso from breaking the clinch.

Alonso's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nailatikau cracks Alonso with a right hand to the side of the head.


Alonso is rocked!
Nailatikau cracks the inside of Alonso's front leg.
Oh Alonso is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nailatikau fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Alonso square on the jaw! Damn, Alonso is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Epeli Nailatikau!
Our winner, Epeli Nailatikau, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
