Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roy Mustang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elijah Hoffman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mustang comes to the cage accompanied by Little Rock. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Elijah Hoffman!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoffman misses with a wild body shot.
Elijah Hoffman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mustang goes for a double leg but Hoffman avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hoffman continues to drive forward.
Mustang goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hoffman prevents it.
Mustang is trying to trip Hoffman. He has hold of a leg but Hoffman is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mustang persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Mustang has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hoffman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mustang.
Hoffman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Roy Mustang will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Mustang counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Hoffman throws a nice looking combination but Mustang bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mustang avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hoffman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mustang's guard.

Mustang wants to stand and escape but Hoffman is having none of it.

Hoffman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mustang with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Hoffman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mustang is just riding it out for now. Hoffman eventually gives up the hold.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hoffman working his ground and pound in the gym.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hoffman connects with a nice short shot to Mustang's temple.

Elijah Hoffman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Hoffman takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Roy Mustang is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mustang tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hoffman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hoffman throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mustang fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mustang dodges the punch combination from Hoffman.
Hoffman fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hoffman scores with a one two! Mustang had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
