The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nerovny takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Obval Zaboev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab lands there for Zaboev.
Zaboev connects with a looping right hand.
Nerovny goes for a double leg but Zaboev avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Zaboev continues to drive forward.
Nerovny tries for a takedown. No joy.
Zaboev working some nice short punches in the clinch.

A nice right hand lands inside from Zaboev.
Nerovny's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Nerovny pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Zaboev postures up in Nerovny's guard and throws a big left but Nerovny blocks it.
Nerovny is looking to cinch up a triangle. Zaboev throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Nerovny's body to avoid the submission. Nerovny has instead reached around Zaboev's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Nerovny arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
