Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Foxy Lad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Nowak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nowak shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lad as he avoids it easily.
Nowak swats away the attempt to clinch by Lad.
Nowak tries to clinch up but Lad circles away and keeps his distance.
Lad tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nowak swivels and escapes.
Lad shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nowak pinned against the cage. Nowak gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nowak shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lad but Lad pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Lad clinches with his opponent.

Lad breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lad wants to clinch.
Nowak swats away the attempt to clinch by Lad.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Foxy Lad. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lad looks to score with a jab to the body but Nowak is just out of range.
Nowak is looking to clinch.
Nowak takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Lad gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nowak to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Nowak is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nowak throws an elbow that misses. Lad uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Nowak's guard. Nice move by Lad!

Nowak looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Nowak tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Nowak is looking for a triangle here but Lad uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nowak tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lad wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Nowak is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lad has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Lad is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nowak knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Lad tries for a kimura but Nowak is defending well.
Lad misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

You can see the frustration on Nowak's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Nowak is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Lad is staying active.

Lad decides to stand up, so the ref orders Nowak to his feet.
Nowak throws a right hand that Lad ducks under and follows up with a left that Lad also avoids with ease.
Nowak fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Lad moves into the clinch.
Lad is trying to pull guard but Nowak has him pressed against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Foxy Lad will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lad shoots in looking for a takedown but Nowak manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lad's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Nowak stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nowak wants it to stay on the feet.
No luck for Nowak with that takedown attempt.

Lad instigates a clinch.

Lad breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nowak buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Lad tries a head kick but it misses.

Nowak staying out of range there.
Nowak connects with a body shot that sends Lad's belly button to the back.

Nowak displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lad.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nowak fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lad to the ground. Nowak is now in Lad's guard.
Nowak really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lad. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Nowak wants to control from the top but Lad keeps moving.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lad fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nowak avoids it really well and circles away.
Foxy Lad is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nowak goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Lad misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nowak shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lad pinned against the cage. Lad gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Nowak has managed to clinch.
Lad tries to pull guard but Nowak holds him up against the cage and eventually Lad drops back down to his feet.
Lad prevents Nowak from breaking the clinch.

Nowak jumps into guard, dragging Lad to the mat.

Lad is fighting to break Nowak's control of his arms but Nowak is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Nowak is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Lad dodges an elbow strike from Nowak.
Nowak is trying to pull guard but Lad has him pressed against the cage.
Nowak goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lad prevents it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nowak wants to break the clinch but can't.
Lad jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nowak walks away with a smile on his face. Lad gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Albert Nowak showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Lad tries to close the distance and clinch but Nowak swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lad fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Lad shoots for a double leg takedown but Nowak sprawls well. He's pushed Lad's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lad dives in and grabs Nowak's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nowak pushes down on Lad's head and hops out.

Nowak shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lad manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Nowak tries to free his leg and advance position but Lad is retaining full guard.

Nowak stands up from Lad's guard - Nowak perhaps looking for a knockout.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Nowak misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nowak shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lad as he jumps to the side.

Nowak throws a head kick that misses.

Nowak has Lad up against the cage in a clinch.
Nowak is trying to break the clinch but Lad has him pressed against the cage.
Nowak is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lad is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Nowak avoiding damage as Lad throws knees to the body.

Nowak gets control of Lad's arms and successfully pulls guard. Nowak will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Lad has gone for a leg lock! Nowak slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lad's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nowak thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Nowak is fighting to break Lad's control of his arms but Lad is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Nowak loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Lad had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nowak defends it easily.
Lad is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
