Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Captain Kat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kung Fu Master (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Master has chosen Shaolin Monastic chanting as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Captain Kat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kung Fu Master!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Master works Kat's body with a nice hook.
Kat tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Master counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Master closes the distance and pushes Kat back into the ropes.
Master lands a body punch.

Master breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A head kick misses from Kat.
Master misses with an uppercut.
Kat tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Master manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Master takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Master lands with a straight right. Kat didn't see that one coming.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Master throws a jab but it's blocked by Kat.

Master chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kat can pounce on him.

That was a close second round but I would say that Captain Kat will probably get the nod.

Kat looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Kung Fu Master seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Master feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kats jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Master paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Master bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kat's head.
Master takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Kat feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Master's calf.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kung Fu Master comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Master has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
