Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lanny Poffo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Pigeon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pigeon is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hank Williams Jr. - Country Boy Can Survive. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pigeon scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Lanny Poffo has been cut.

Poffo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Our spies down at at Nights Watch MMA Academy inform us that Pigeon has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Pigeon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Poffo defends it easily.
We've been hearing that Poffo has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Pigeon lands a really nice looking cross but Poffo seems unphased.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Poffo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Pigeon swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Poffo.
Poffo clobbers Pigeon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

It looks like Harry Pigeon has been cut.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Poffo shoots in and bounces Pigeon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Harry Pigeon dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Poffo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Pigeon might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

A slow jab from Pigeon misses its intended target.
Poffo shoots in looking for a takedown but Pigeon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Poffo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
