Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Coronel Avas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Deniska Ebanii! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Avas takes a shot right to the bread basket. Avas takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Ebanii throws a shot to the body.
Ebanii throws a hook but Avas avoids it easily. Ebanii tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Avas was well out of range. Poor timing from Ebanii. Avas with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ebanii to score with a decent uppercut.
It looks like Coronel Avas has been cut. Ebanii takes a swing at Avas's ribcage but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ebanii connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Avas's hands. Avas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Ebanii throws a series of punches but Avas moves out of range. Ebanii throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ebanii throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Ebanii misses with a series of wild punches.
Ebanii looks to score with a jab to the body but Avas is just out of range. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Ebanii misses with a hook. Avas ducked under it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ebanii throws a hook to the side of Avas's head but Avas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. The crowd cheers as Ebanii lands an impressive looking overhand right. Avas doesn't seem phased though. Ebanii looks to score with a jab to the body but Avas is just out of range. We've been informed that Ebanii has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Ebanii throws a body punch but Avas moves out of range. Ebanii misses with a few strikes there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ebanii with a body punch. A glancing blow. Avas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ebanii.
Ebanii connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Avas's hands. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ebanii thows a body shot but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Deniska Ebanii dominated that round. The cut man is working on Coronel Avas's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

That's one minute gone in the round. Ebanii misses with a shot to the body and Avas counters with a takedown into side control. Ebanii struggling a bit here. Avas trying to control the position but Ebanii is working away. Ebanii manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ebanii wants to stand up but Avas is controlling the position.
Avas manages to get to full guard.
Ebanii has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Avas is proving hard to escape from. Ebanii is breathing heavily. Avas wants to sweep but no luck. Avas seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. This has been an exciting period of action! Avas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ebanii can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ebanii really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Avas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Avas trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Avas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ebanii is kicking away at Avas from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Avas grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a heel hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Ebanii trying to push Avas off... Ebanii taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
