Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dell Optiplex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Les Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul has chosen Hell & Back as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Les Paul has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dell Optiplex!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 18 - 1, fighting out of New York, Les Paul!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Paul is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Optiplex throws a head kick that misses.

Paul fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Optiplex, pushing him back against the cage.

Paul manages to break the clinch.

Paul shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Optiplex napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Paul thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Optiplex is looking for a sweep.

Paul has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Optiplex throws a sloppy head kick and Paul moves out of range easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Paul misses with a body shot.

Paul rushes Optiplex and presses him up against the cage.

Paul manages to break the clinch.
Paul misses with a hook
and Optiplex counters with a stiff right hand.
Optiplex fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Optiplex throws a head kick that misses.
Paul rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Optiplex moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Paul throws the left hand but Optiplex avoids the punch easily.

Paul closes the distance and pushes Optiplex back into the cage.

Paul turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Paul manages to end up in side control.
Paul looks winded!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Paul is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Optiplex looks calm but he's in trouble here. Paul gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Optiplex is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Paul lets go of the hold and Optiplex can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Les Paul!
In his post fight interview, Les Paul gave a big smile as he said 'Thank you first off to god he gives me strength. My fans who keep me going and to Team Thomas fight Club for allowing me to fight for them!'.
