Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Byob Kingpin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Eduardo Demaestri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kingpin comes to the cage accompanied by Face the Pain (UFC Theme Song) by Stemn. Julian Eduardo Demaestri told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Julian Eduardo Demaestri!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Demaestri gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Kingpin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Demaestri's guard now.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kingpin wants to pass the guard but Demaestri is keeping the position.
Kingpin pushing down on Demaestri's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Demaestri tries to roll over but Kingpin keeps him under control.

Kingpin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Kingpin has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Kingpin is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Kingpin is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Demaestri to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Demaestri shrugs it off.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kingpin mounts Demaestri! Really nice guard pass there!
Demaestri is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kingpin fails to advance to Demaestri's back.

Demaestri tries to reverse the position but Kingpin maintains control.

Kingpin is working for a guillotine from mount but Demaestri frees his head quite easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Kingpin has control of Demaestri's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Demaestri regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Kingpin moves to take his opponent's back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kingpin has the hooks in. Demaestri is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
