Hammet comes to the cage accompanied by Finger Eleven - Slow Chemical. Rasputin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: TURISAS - Rasputin. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammet tries to clinch there but Rasputin circles away.

I was talking to Hammet's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Hammet seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Rasputin is looking to take this one to the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rasputin will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Hammet drops Rasputin with a nice combination! Hammet dives into Rasputin's guard, looking to finish!


Rasputin is rocked!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Hammet stands up from Rasputin's guard - Hammet perhaps looking for a knockout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hammet looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hammet circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Rasputin drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Hammet follows Rasputin to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
