Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dean Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asher Asher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dean Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Asher Asher!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Anderson looks to throw a body kick
and Asher counters with a body kick that stops Anderson in his tracks momentarily.
Anderson throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Anderson checks a low kick from Asher.
Anderson looks for the body kick but Asher saw that one coming.
Anderson missing with a left hand there. Asher was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Anderson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Rutgers Athletic Club in the buildup to the fight.
Anderson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Anderson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Asher.
No luck for Anderson with that takedown attempt.
Asher scoring well with a low kick there.
Anderson thuds a left hand into Asher's body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Anderson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Asher did well to prevent Anderson getting side control.

Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Asher swivels though and keeps the full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Anderson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and Asher counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Anderson is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Asher will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Asher is looking to control Anderson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Asher avoid being mounted?

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Anderson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anderson stands up over Asher, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Asher avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Anderson throws a big right hand that misses.
Asher is trying to control the position but Anderson postures up.
Anderson looking to sit in guard and control but Asher gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Anderson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Asher is one step ahead there.

Anderson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Asher doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Asher manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Anderson wants to hit a switch here but Asher passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Anderson there!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Asher prevents Anderson from getting the reversal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Anderson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Anderson lands a nice hook to Asher's body. Asher takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Anderson looks to land a left hand but Asher moved out of range nicely.
Asher lands a nice looking kick to the body. Anderson takes a step back to recover.
Asher looks to land a body kick but Anderson moved away.
Asher throws a nice inside leg kick.
Asher throws a nice outside leg kick.
Asher misses with a body kick.
Anderson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
An inside leg kick lands from Asher.
Asher throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Asher lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Anderson thows a body shot but no joy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Asher looks to land a body kick but Anderson moved away.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Anderson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Asher - the referee stops the clock and Anderson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Asher. Anderson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Asher throws a solid leg kick but Anderson takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Asher.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Anderson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Anderson moves out of range as Asher throws a body kick.

Anderson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Asher to the mat! Asher manages to get full guard.
Anderson postures up in Asher's guard and throws a big left but Asher blocks it.
Anderson works over Asher with some ground and pound from guard.
Anderson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Asher is keeping the position for now.
Asher will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Asher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Anderson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Asher is on top in guard.

Anderson has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Asher should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Anderson has tightened it up now! Asher should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Dean Anderson really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Fury Nutrition Inc. logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
