Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Richard Dickinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Romanov!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Viktor Lagutenko and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Dickinson.
Romanov throws a hook but Dickinson blocks it.

Dickinson moves into range and clinches up with Romanov.

Dickinson breaks the clinch.
Dickinson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Romanov's head.
Romanov looks to land a right hand but Dickinson moved out of range.

We've been told by Dickinson's head coaches at Ivan's house of pain [200$] that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Romanov swings wildly with an uppercut but Dickinson uses good head movement to avoid it.

Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Dickinson has Romanov pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Romanov manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Dickinson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Romanov is defending well for now.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dickinson shoots in looking for a takedown but Romanov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dickinson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Romanov loads up on a big right hand but Dickinson slips the punch.
Romanov throws a leg kick but Dickinson checks it.
Romanov dips to his left and cracks Dickinson with an uppercut!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Dickinson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Dickinson is breathing heavily.
Romanov lands a body shot.
Romanov throws a lazy right hand but Dickinson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Romanov looks to land a right hand but Dickinson moved out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sergey Romanov will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Dickinson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Dickinson moves in looking to clinch but Romanov pushes him off.
Romanov misses with a wild body shot.
Dickinson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Romanov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Romanov lands a nice looking body shot.
Romanov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Dickinson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Romanov drops Dickinson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Dickinson looks back up at him and smiles so Romanov waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dickinson throws a right hand that Romanov ducks under and follows up with a left that Romanov also avoids with ease.
Oh Dickinson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dickinson tries to close the distance and clinch but Romanov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A big left from Romanov misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dickinson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Romanov digs a good hook to Dickinson's body.
Dickinson seems to have got his legs back now.

Romanov feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Dickinson sprawling to the canvas! Dickinson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Romanov finish him?!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Romanov fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dickinson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Horrible takedown by Dickinson or perhaps it was just good defense by Romanov which made him look bad.

Romanov feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Dickinson's calf.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dickinson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Dickinson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Romanov takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Dickinson tries to get into range but Romanov steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Dickinson! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Romanov scores the big KO victory!

A relieved looking Sergey Romanov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
