Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Simo Supermies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armand Agasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Supermies comes into the arena with D12 - Fight Music blaring out of the sound system. Simo Supermies has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Agasi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Supermies's waist but Supermies gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Agasi off to one side.

Supermies walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like Simo Supermies has been cut.

and Supermies counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Our spies down at at Den of Tears (22 coaches, $175 fee) inform us that Agasi has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Agasi tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Supermies throws a strike but Agasi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Agasi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Supermies has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Agasi has managed to get both his arms back between Supermies's legs - danger averted.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Agasi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Armand Agasi hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Agasi doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Supermies counters with a nice double leg into side control. Agasi won't be happy with that.
Simo Supermies has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Armand Agasi.
Agasi takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Supermies is putting a hurting on Agasi here, landing some big shots from side control.
Agasi gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Agasi has hold of Supermies's hands but Supermies slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Supermies wants to take a breather but Agasi is having none of it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Supermies throws a series of strikes that have Agasi backpedaling.

It looks like Armand Agasi has been cut.
Armand Agasi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Supermies fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Agasi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The fighters circle momentarily. Supermies darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Agasi is rocked!
Supermies drops Agasi with a straight right hand, right on the button! Supermies follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
